The Luxury Items I Want to Gift Myself This Holiday Season
Happy holidays to me, from me!
Festive season is often a vehicle for approximation of our affection for people that we quantify using gifts. Diwali just went, Thanksgiving, too, just passed us by, and Christmas and New Year aren't very far either. But, after spending close to 18 months in my own company, the only person I want to reward and show appreciation toward is me. Call it self care, but this holiday season, what I really want to do is cross off at least one of the items I have had on my wishlist, filled with ‘It’ things I’ve seen in fashion pages, on the Internet, and in the Instagram posts of fashion’s most sought-after people.
Consider this a PSA of sorts; my wish list of coveted luxury items I want to buy myself this holiday season is open to all!
Tiffany T T1 Circle Pendant
The joy of experiencing a dainty 18 kt gold Tiffany necklace with diamond encrusted pendant can only be described as invaluable. A reinvention of the iconic Tiffany T1 designs, this necklace can elevate any look (not to mention, self-esteem) to new, covetable heights. Layer it with other gold jewellery or wear it as is!
Christian Louboutin Hot Chick
Speaking of heights, the world definitely looks better when you’re viewing it from 100mm above in these Christian Louboutin Hot Chick pumps with Tivoli print. The pointed toe and original curved openings reveal the foot, which, I can assure, makes it look 10x sexier.
FENDI O'Lock Chocker Chain Necklace
Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi's daughter, Delfina Delettrez, this jewellery made its debut in Ready-To-Wear Fall/Winter 2021 Collection designed by Kim Jones and features a sophisticated take on the trend that took the fashion world by a storm - the chain link. What makes it covetable is the introduction of the Fendi square monogram and its surprisingly soft feminine appeal in a choker inspired by hardware.
Jimmy Choo Emmie Clutch
This Jimmy Choo shiny clutch is the latest in the range of dimunitive handbags making public appearances easy when you don't want to haul a big shoulder bag around. It is just the right amount of big that facilitates shoving your phone, keys, and credit card in without cramming them all inside and still makes a statement.
Bottega Veneta Chain Cassette shoulder bag
For occasions that absolutely demand a shoulder bag, though, I'll perhaps settle for nothing less than the Bottega Veneta Chain Casette bag. The puffy, woven outside has become a brand's signature and it is offset from the ordinary when it comes to statement-makign bags that are also waitlist symbols. Sure, I'll have to give an arm and a leg for it. But when has anything chic come without a hefty price tag?
