FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, India vs Ghana: Twitterati applaud India despite early exit
India couldn’t win any of the three games in Group A of the FIFA U-17 World Cup but still earned plenty of plaudits for the heart and courage shown during the week of action. India lost 0-4 to Ghana on Thursday to exit the tournament following defeats to USA (0-3) and Colombia (1-2).
Coming into the game against Ghana, India had a mathematical chance of going through provided USA beat Colombia and India beat Ghana by at least three goals. Unfortunately for the hosts, they maintained the tempo for much of the first half but defensive lapses hurt them plenty especially as the game went on. At half time, India trailed 0-1 and were still in with a tough shot but that window soon shut itself as the hosts tried to go forward to score leaving gaps at the back.

For those who'll only see the 4-0 score line – Not a fair assessment of how well India played. The attitude & pace was special #FIFAU17WC

It's not the end. Beginning of a new experience for most of these boys. Chin up and use the learning to become better. #FIFAU17WC
