Sonam Kapoor woos as timeless fashion icons, from Madhubala to Mata Hari; see pics
That Sonam Kapoor is a fashion connoisseur has been proven time and again. One of the most iconic and adventurous fashionistas of B-Town, she packs a powerful punch as an actor too. Combine the two and you have a fiery combination. Recently the actor did a photo shoot for Vogue India and we can’t get over the avatars she donned. From the actress Marlene Dietrich to Madhubala, the actor was stunning and glorious, and we simply can’t get enough of her.
Everything is possible with imagination and the actor lived it out in the ‘Mad Hatter-esque’ look, in which she attempted to emulate Marlene Dietrich. In an H&M pantsuit, the actor looked ethereal and we love how make-up artist Elton J Fernandez gave her a pale face with skinny eyebrows and ruby lips. Hairstylist Yianni Tsapatori also deserves a round of applause for giving Kapoor the characteristic finger curls of the Hatter. We think she looks sensational. Take a look:
The actor’s Madhubala avatar takes us back in time, leaving us enchanted. Clad in a blush pink Rars Anarkali, we love the coy demeanour with which Kapoor is peeking out from a Ritu Kumar sari ghoongat in the same colour. With kundan jewellery from the house of Sunita Shekhawat, the actor looked a picture of grace, and stylist Ria Kamat deserves credit for preserving the simplicity of the look. In dark smoky eyes and pink tinted lips, the actor presented a mesmerising picture. Take a look:
Kapoor emulated fashion icon and artist Frida Kahlo in one of her shoots. With a signature floral crown and block print lehenga by Raw Mango, the actor was stunning. Make-up artist Elton Fernandez really took the cake this time by recreating the classic Kahlo unibrow. With braided hair and metal jewellery, the actor rounded off the look very well.
Another of the actor’s sizzling photo shoot was her as Mata Hari. With a plain Anavila sari sultrily draped around the waist and teamed up with a glitzy blouse by Manav Gangwani, the actor was breathtaking. The more glamorous elements of the outfit were earrings, arm bracelets and a maang tikka by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas to match the blouse. We think Ria Kamat did a great job along with Fernandez who kept the make-up dusty and dewy this time.
