7 Songs To Comfort You When You Are Feeling Low
Beethoven once said, “Music can change the world.” This is because music has this ability to put our thoughts into words. It has a therapeutic effect on our mind and can help us overcome our grief. In fact, a lot of counsellors have started using music therapy along with counselling to help their patients feel calm and relaxed during a session. In fact, McGill University’s psychology department’s review found that music has the ability to help you fight depression and give a boost to your immune system. So if you are feeling low today, here are a few songs you can listen to for comfort.
The singer acknowledges that you might be in pain and then soothingly tells you, 'You are not alone, I've been here the whole time singing you a song, I will carry you, I will carry you.'
This is one of my recent finds. The music is soothing and the words are calming for your soul. The song starts with, 'Rest now, my love, it's all right. The dark is gone, I'm here, I hold you'. What else do you need!
While the song is romantic, the chorus of it lets you feel comfortable in your own space. Listen to this when you are trying to comfort yourself and feel good.
The inner struggle is as real as the outside struggle and someone telling us they will try to fix things, even if it is a song, may just be what we need to hear.
I broke up and even thought I knew I deserved better, there were times when I sought the comfort offered by my partner. In such times, this song really spoke what I couldn't' express..
Sometimes you just want to acknowledge your pain.
If you are looking for some inspiration to feel emotionally stronger, then this is what you need. Watch out for this in the song, 'So I call on my angels, they say… don’t doubt it. Victory is in your veins.'
