She even helped ban horse-drawn carriages, also popularly known as ‘Victorias’, in Mumbai which had horses carry heavy carriages just to give people a joyride. Fernandez is also one of the many actors who have voluntarily adopted a vegan lifestyle to do their bit towards bringing down animal cruelty.

Bhatt is actively involved in animal rights, support and conservation, and also runs a non-profit organisation Co-exist by Alia Bhatt which focuses on highlighting and working towards the issues of animal and ecological welfare.
