Rajasthan: Man allegedly lynched on suspicion of smuggling cows in Alwar
A man was allegedly lynched by a mob in Rajasthan’s Alwar distrist on Friday night, reported news agency PTI. Akbar Khan, 28, a resident of Kolgaon in Haryana, was beaten to death while transporting two cows through a forest area near Lalawandi village. According to SHO Subhash Sharma, the mob suspected Khan of smuggling cows. An investigation into the incident is underway.
Khan was travelling with another man who managed to escape. Khan was rushed to a local hospital in Ramgarh, where doctors declared him brought dead. A post-mortem will be conducted.
A case has been registered against unidentified people under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
