Reliance Industries Reports Net Profit Of Rs 10,104 Crore In June Quarter
Oil-to-telecom conglomerate Reliance Industries on Friday reported a net profit of Rs 10,104 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2019. That marked a 6.8 per cent increase compared to its net profit of Rs 9,459 crore in the corresponding three-month period a year ago. In a regulatory filing, billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries said its revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,61,349crore in the first quarter of the current financial year, up 21.25 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
Reliance Industries had in April this year reported a record net profit of Rs 10,362 crore for the quarter ended March 31 - the highest quarterly profit by any Indian private sector company.
Reliance Industries shares finished 1.01 per cent lower at Rs 1,249 apiece on the BSE ahead of the earnings announcement by the company, in line with a 1.44 per cent fall in the benchmark Sensex index amid a broad-based selloff.
