Infosys deputy CFO retained, gets new responsibilities
BENGALURU: Infosys deputy CFO Jayesh Sanghrajka has been persuaded to remain with the company.

Multiple media, including TOI, had reported in October that Sanghrajka had put in his papers. Some also reported that he was in talks to join Mphasis as CFO. He was expected to take on the role in January.

On Tuesday, sources told TOI that not only is he staying with Infosys, he has also been given additional responsibilities as the head of M&A and to oversee strategic accounts as part of the CEO's office.

It is not clear if his compensation package has been revised.

When TOI asked Infosys about Sanghrajka’s new responsibilities, the company said it would not comment on the matter.

Sanghrajka’s resignation in October had become a talking point particularly because within a few days of it, a whistleblower letter alleging misreporting of revenue by the CEO had emerged.

Sanghrajka has spent around 14 years in Infosys over two stints. He has held various senior roles in the finance department, including as corporate finance controller. He was made interim CFO following the exit of the previous CFO, M D Ranganath, in November last year. He returned to the deputy CFO role following the appointment of former Bharti Airtel executive Nilanjan Roy as CFO.
